Digitizing production to enhance traceability, quality, and agility in the animal health industry

Since 1988, Virbac Nutrition, based in Vauvert, near Nîmes, has embodied veterinary excellence and expertise in the field of dog and cat nutrition. Recognized for its high standards and commitment, the factory is built on strong values: innovation, quality, and traceability. These principles guide all of its activities, particularly through the VETERINARY HPM clinical range, designed by a multidisciplinary team of veterinarians and nutritionists. This high-end product line meets the physiological needs of pets, with an emphasis on protein-rich, low-carbohydrate formulations that do not compromise on health and safety.

In line with this commitment to high standards and continuous improvement, the MARVEL project (implementation of Aquiweb) is a key step in the digital transformation of the Vauvert plant. Born out of a clear desire to modernize and go paperless, this ambitious project aims to integrate all quality controls, batch traceability, and automated and reliable production data collection into the Aquiweb system. With these elements in place, Virbac hopes not only to improve its responsiveness, but also to strengthen the reliability and centralization of its data in a highly regulated environment.

The main challenge of this project lies in quality control, an area where Virbac’s expectations are particularly high. The integration of control tools into Aquiweb ensures real-time monitoring, reduces human error, and enables rigorous compliance with quality standards, benefiting animal safety and giving animal health professionals peace of mind.
