Emmanuel Chakar

A French family-owned group founded in 1872, the EFIRE Group is a recognized leader in sealing, fluid transfer, material cutting, and industrial protection. Organized around several brands and sites in France, it serves demanding industries—including aerospace, food processing, chemicals, nuclear, pharmaceuticals, and energy—with a strong emphasis on on-site responsiveness and end-to-end control, from design to implementation.

Emmanuel Chakar is directly involved in the EFIRE Group’s digital transformation and continuous improvement initiatives. Working at the intersection of business teams and industrial information systems, he oversees the deployment of MES tools and their integration into operational processes—with a very practical vision of how shop floor data can improve operational management.

During the workshop “Aquiplanner: Schedule Better and Faster,” Emmanuel will share insights from the Aquiplanner project: the context of its implementation, the challenges of its rollout, and the pros and cons encountered during the process. In particular, he will explain how MES data now informs scheduling decisions, enabling teams to create more reliable schedules that are better aligned with actual production capacity.

His presentation will focus specifically on:

• EFIRE’s functional requirements and how Aquiplanner met them;
• The positives and challenges encountered during the go-live;
• The specific challenges of scheduling related to nested operations;
• Overall feedback on the day-to-day use of the product.

The workshop will continue with a demonstration of Aquiplanner and an update on the new features of Aquiweb 7.3 and 7.4, presented by Astrée experts, followed by a Q&A session.
