Franck Bordellier
Franck Bordellier is Director of ETIM, the testing laboratory for polymers and composites at CETIM (Technical Center for Mechanical Engineering Industries in France). He is responsible for the laboratory’s activities: physical and chemical testing, preparation, machining, and mechanical testing.
He began his career in 1995 as a project manager at MGI Coutier Plastiques (France), working on the development of automotive parts from design to mass production. In 1998, he moved to Nantes to join the automotive equipment manufacturer DRAFTEX, then TRELLEBORG and TRISTONE FLOWTECH as Project Manager, then Product Line Manager and Project Director in 2005 for Air Intake and Engine Thermal applications
In 2011, he joined CETIM in Nantes to develop R&D in product design and the implementation of THERMOPLASTIC COMPOSITE processes, and to open up to different markets such as aeronautics, automotive, sports, and leisure. There, he developed two major platforms: thermoplastic composite stamping with the QSP® platform, designed for high speed and optimized costs, and an AFTP (Automotive Fiber Tape Placement) platform designed for high performance in the aerospace, aeronautics, and oil markets.
In October 2019, he joined CETIM’s subsidiary ETIM to develop the Polymers & Composites testing laboratory, which provides customers with production quality control testing and R&D testing for product/process material validation.
