Valentin Lamothe
Valentin Lamothe is the production manager at the Maxicoffee Group, a leading French player in the coffee industry that combines manufacturing, distribution, and e-commerce.
He works at the group’s roasting facility, a recently built industrial site designed to support the business’s growth and streamline production processes. In this highly automated environment, the challenges are clear: to better manage performance, ensure data reliability, and structure information flows on the shop floor.
At the heart of operations, Valentin Lamothe has led a gradual transformation of the shop floor, aiming to move from a management system partially based on disparate tools to a more structured, reliable, and real-time approach to production management.
To address these challenges, Maxicoffee launched a pragmatic MES initiative in 2022, starting with the deployment of Astn’go on the packaging lines, before planning a phased transition to Aquiweb.
At the Astrée MES Day 2026, Valentin Lamothe will share this hands-on experience focusing on:
- The implementation of an initial level of management based on OEE,
- The gradual structuring of production data,
- And supporting teams as they adopt new tools and practices.
His presentation will highlight a practical and accessible approach to MES, with rapid and measurable results:
- A significant improvement in line performance,
- Better control over production contingencies,
- And increased maturity among teams in performance management.
This presentation will be particularly inspiring for manufacturers looking to gradually implement an MES initiative, based on real-world use cases that are concrete and quickly generate value.
