Ensuring Reliable Traceability at the Heart of Healthcare Regulatory Requirements

MEDLINE is a major player in the medical device industry, specializing in the production and distribution of solutions for healthcare facilities. With an international presence, the company operates in highly regulated environments, where control over production processes and information flows is a key challenge. With a rigorous industrial organization that incorporates stringent requirements for quality, traceability, and regulatory compliance, MEDLINE is committed to a process of continuous improvement, relying on foundational tools such as MES to strengthen its operational management.

It is in this context—characterized by sometimes heterogeneous processes and data management that is still partially decentralized—that MEDLINE launched an ambitious MES project with the implementation of Aquiweb. The goal: to structure and ensure the reliability of production data, enhance the traceability of operations, and improve real-time management of shop floor activities. The project is being rolled out in phases, with particular attention paid to integration into the existing information system, especially in relation to pre- and post-production tools.

During this presentation, MEDLINE will review the initial context and industrial challenges of the project, the decisions made during the implementation of the Aquiweb MES, as well as how the system is being used on the shop floor and at the management level. The team will also share the observed benefits (improved traceability, more reliable production data, enhanced operational management, etc.) and highlight the key success factors for an MES project in a regulated environment.
